1. Policy Statement
   Mind Warriors (Addlestone) CIC is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of everyone
   involved in our activities, including Volunteers, Directors, group participants, facilitators, guest
   speakers and mindfulness practitioners. We aim to provide a safe and supportive environment in all
   our venues, events, and activities.
2. Responsibilities
   Board of Directors:

• Overall responsibility for health and safety
• Ensuring the policy is implemented and reviewed regularly
• Ensuring risks are assessed and managed appropriately
  Volunteers and Directors:
• Follow this policy and any safety instructions
• Report hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
• Take reasonable care for their own safety and that of others

1. Risk Assessment

• A simple risk assessment will be completed for all activities, venues, and events
• Risks will be reviewed regularly and updated when circumstances change
• Controls will be put in place to reduce or eliminate risks

1. Safeguarding and Mental Health Considerations

• Volunteers will be made aware of boundaries and safeguarding responsibilities
• Emergency procedures and support contacts will be clearly communicated
• Volunteers will receive guidance on managing situations where participants may be
  distressed

1. Accidents and Incidents

• All accidents or incidents, including near-misses, must be reported promptly to the
  designated Facilitator
• A record of accidents and any action taken will be maintained
• Appropriate action will be taken to prevent recurrence

1. First Aid

• A basic first aid kit will be available at all venues and events
• Volunteers will be informed of its location
• All volunteers will have first aid awareness training

1. Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures

• Fire exits, evacuation routes, and assembly points will be clearly communicated
• Volunteers and group participants will be briefed on procedures at the start of sessions
• Any fire or emergency equipment will be checked regularly

• This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if there are changes in activities, venues, or
  legislation
